My top pick this week? Oro Sólido’s free concert on Saturday (yes, the king of merengue!). If you haven’t been to a Grand Performances show yet, this last one of the summer is the perfect time to go, trust me.

500 Bites of L.A (a section where I’ll be sharing weekly foodie spots I like in L.A.)
This week I want to highlight one of my favorite affordable spots in the Valley.
It’s a Jamaican Spot called Jerk Wings Cafe that sells $1 wings in Northridge every Wednesday. I’ve only ever tried oxtail but never tried Jamaican Jerk wings and these were amazing!
On top of the $1 Wednesday deal, you can also order $25 worth of wings and they’ll give you a liter of soda! Insane! Anyways save and support local food spots in LA

DJs from across cities come together at Club Cielo, spotlighting guaracha, Latin core, and underground sounds part of a wave pushing L.A.’s nightlife toward global electronic influences.
Every Thursday, Salsa con Sazón at High Tide combines live salsa and DJ sets, continuing a tradition rooted in Puerto Rican and Dominican music. (I’ll actually be here tonight! So say hi! Haha)
East Side Mariachi Fiesta is happening at LA Plaza De Cultura y Arte celebrating Latinx LGBTQIA talent from SoCal
