Hi guys, Happy Full Moon! I hope you’re having a good week and getting ready to relax and recharge this weekend.
Me personally? I’m ready for Love Island to be done lol but I’m rooting for Bryan and Amaya! Here are some bars I’ve seen that will be showing it this weekend but like always double check: Flamingo Bar, Reality Bar, 33taps. My personal pick? ZAYA DTLA. They’ll be having a party for the finale with dj’s and more:
I’m also thinking about fundraisers and ways to help this weekend. I know Joy is resistance but my mind is still on how we can continue to keep our street vendors and people safe. So be sure to support events that support our people sometime this weekend!

La Plaza L.A. is hosting Summer of Salsa. It’s free with RSVP and perfect for a summer night out.
I Love Micheladas is teaming up with Bella Doña for their summer series.Expect good drinks and even better vibes.
Capicúa After Dark will be throwing a Dominican and Puerto Rican afters.
Saturday July 12
Cafe con Allie is teaming up with Guelaguetza, a well known Oaxacan restaurant, whose business needs support right now. They will be spinning cumbias y perreo!

Benny Boy Brewing in Lincoln Heights is throwing a Lotería night for National Michelada Day. There’ll be mariscos, a DJ, and all proceeds from Bingo will go to CHIRLA.
Lila Society is hosting a free Perreo Sculpt class at Azalea Shopping Center in South Gate.
Tierra club, a walking club, is hosting an anniversary walk through Fairfax. There will be pastries and refreshments at the end.
Hot Girl Market is throwing their first night market. There will be tattoos, free drinks, over 60 vendors, and $5 entry. Twenty percent of proceeds will go to CHIRLA.
Los Morros del Norte are performing for free at Pershing Square.

Sunday July 13
Free concert! I mean look at that lineup:
Cafetón is hosting a fundraiser with $1 entry.
One hundred percent of proceeds go to those affected by immigration raids.
This is sold out- but might have tickets at the door
Valeria and GoodLuck Vinyl Club are hosting Cumbia y Vino.
Think music, dancing, and natural wine.
Levantando La Luna is hosting a free community event.
There’ll be live performances, DJ sets, and a closing sound bath.
