Wow, i have a huge list of things to do this weekend in LA. I have night market (Mardi Gras) events, Salsa events, and even events to support our LA street vendors. I’m not going to lie it’s a long list, so let’s just jump right into it!
Thursday
Club Cielo is back at El Cid, for a night of Guaracha, Tribal, Latin Funk and will have a guest Dj from the Bay, Queenie (My Top pick! )

Friday Feb 20 Weekend events
If you’re looking to support street vendors, Hope Alley by Homebody Industries will have a variety of vendors, and will have people vending on behalf of family members who are too afraid to leave their homes. The event is from 11-2 p.m.
If you love to dance salsa, Salsa con Sazón is back with a free salsa class, a line up of Djs playing Vinyl Salsa sets and social dancing. You’ll also be able to eat Dominican and Puerto Rican bites!
If you love music, The Rehearsal is taking over Mercado La Paloma in South Central for World Music Night.
It’s basically like a Tiny Desk–style concert with live performances by Rhythms of the Village, Mayeya, and Yoya.
If you’re looking for a Dominican Independence Day Celebration, there’s a Dominican takeover happening in Hollywood. Two rooms: one dedicated to Bachata and one dedicated to Dembow, Dembow Republic.
If you want to dance while supporting a good cause, Perreo for Peace is back with a night of reggaeton, dembow, neoperreo and one hundred percent of the proceeds will be going to Immigo.
Cumbiaton is hosting Amor & Cumbia in Boyle Heights. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to mi gente mutual aid. You can expect the Cumbia and community at this event!

If you’re a runner, Cinco por Cinco is a 5k run celebration for Pueblita and doubling as a fundraiser. There will be over 5 run clubs coming together, vendors and local businesses. All proceeds from this run will support immigrant families impacted by ICE.
If you’re a creative and looking to connect with likeminded people. El Sereno Social Club is teaming up with Lucky Shot Coffee Bar to host Coffee with Creative neighbors.
El Pavo Bakery and Raices Maya are hosting a pop-up celebrating Guatemalan culture through traditional sweet bread, community, and good vibes. On Sunday, If you’re looking for a morning workout, there’s a Pilates run club at a park in Midcity starting at 8 a.m. Floreciendo en Movimiento will be hosting a 1 mile walk/run and followed by a Pilates class hosted by Empower Pilates.
If you want to dance Sunday morning coffee dj sets, Dj Allierockk is hosting Café con Allie, a coffee party in Koreatown Tickets include a coffee by Just Cafe niña and appetizers by restaurant La Guelaguetza.
If you’re in Midcity Juguetona Radio an event meant to honor your inner teenage self, is a day party with an all girl dj lineup
If you’re looking for a good wine bar vibe while listening to instrumental jazz classics:
Amor y Amistad, a Sip and Shop for the girls, will be hosted by Mercado Northeast. It’s a Self Care Sunday event dedicated to friendship, community, and women.
There’s a Cumbia y Vino event in Long Beach by Good Luck Vinyl Club and hosted by creator Valeria Metz, said to be a night filled with pura musica Latina and a portion of the proceeds will go to Union del Barrio, that aims to defend Latino communities.
If you love salsa, Salsa Pa La Gente is for the ones celebrating, healing, and wanting to dance salsa. There will even be a salsa class!
