Events happening this weekend in L.A.🌴 (Apr. 9-12)
Bonus events, run clubs, nightlife and a Coachella guide all in one place.
Hi guys, it's Natalie! Every week I round up what's happening in Latino LA and some community favorites so your weekends are always sorted. I always include Thursdays because some of the best moments come from a weekday hang, and this newsletter always has bonus events and nightlife that did not make the video. So if you are only watching the video you are missing out. Let's get into it.
📣 ANNOUNCEMENTS
Citizens Market LA — is looking for vendors to apply for this immigrant and first-gen led creative market at The Plant Chica happening next Saturday.
LA Times Festival of Books — April 18-19. De Los will have a stage with a stacked lineup. Bad Bunny conversations, poetry, comics and romance. A weekend for the whole family.
🌴 COACHELLA ACTIVATIONS & FOOD SPOTS I’D ACTUALLY GO TO
My Coachella plans fell through but of course I still did the research. If I end up in the desert here is exactly where I would be going:
🎪 Activations worth it Alaska Airlines lounge (yes, there’s a vending machine that can give you a free flight)
Electrolit 5K in the campgrounds (Mexican founded and desert heat makes sense) Always x Secret lounge (free products and a place to sit, essential) e.l.f. desert oasis (free yippies, say less) K-Beauty Lounge featuring medicube (hydration booth and off-site resort moment) Coachella Art Studios (DIY jewelry and crafts, I will be there too long)
🌴 Off-site moment (no wristband needed) Karol G’s Bichota Records flea market at College of the Desert. Latino owned brands and a full cultural moment.
🌮 Food spots I’d hit Villa’s Tacos (blue corn tortillas, if you know you know) Love Hour (Ktown smash burgers in the desert) Churrería El Moro (CDMX churros by the Ferris wheel)

🍽️ WEEKEND RESTAURANT REC
If you have been missing CDMX but you are still in LA, this is the closest you will feel to it. Damian in the Arts Districtis that place. We are talking ricotta tamal, duck carnitas tacos, squid in its own ink and a mezcal chocolate pour. The wine is incredible too. Upscale but not pretentious, my kind of place. Oh and Bad Bunny has been here so you already know. Save this for your next dinner night out.
See you guys next week!
